A new AI tool aims to help renters secure a rental property by sending alerts to their inbox before other platforms.
Hutch searches across all the major UK property portals such as Rightmove and Zoopla, then tells users as soon as suitable properties appear.
Powered by Britain’s largest property database, the free site - www.joinhutch.com – offers customisation options including garden, parking, nice views, close to station, concierge, balcony, en-suite, furnished, pets allowed and new build, so users can choose ‘rentals with an en-suite and where pets are allowed’, or ‘a chain-free flat with a balcony and parking’.
This flexibility means would-be tenants can find relevant properties quicker, with the option to view daily property recommendations as well as receive real-time alerts. It also lists the most recently added properties and those that have been viewed in the last seven days.
The tool sends updated recommendations at 9am each day and can also be used by those looking to buy a home.
Co-founder Alex Haden (main image) says Hutch puts browsing power back into the hands of the consumer. “Our smart algorithms ensure no more endless clicking or being too late to view a listing.”
Fellow co-founder Chris Evans tells LandlordZONE: “Aside from saving the user signing up to multiple platforms, we have found that some Hutch alerts actually arrive even quicker than from the source site such as Rightmove, presumably because Rightmove does extra processing when it receives properties, which consumes time.”
He adds that OpenRent listings are also available in Hutch, and that property recommendations aren't influenced by any adverts or biases.
It’s not the only AI tool to have been developed of late; online platform Get Ground recently launched AI Property Analyser, combining financial modelling and local market intelligence to give BTL landlords a smarter way to invest. The analyser builds a complete investment model and suggests whether a deal fits classic buy-to-let, refurb and refinance, a flip or a long-term hold.
