Landlords are being encouraged to sign up for an all-day online event that promises to help them prepare for upcoming rental reforms.
With less than two months until the Renters’ Rights Act comes into force, the Landlord Legal Protection & Portfolio Strategy Intensive live virtual event - on Sunday 22nd March - will focus on professionalism and highlight how landlords who fail to prepare risk costly fines, legal disputes, delays in regaining possession and poorly structured portfolios.
By the end of the day, landlords will understand what changes are coming in on 1st May, identify where their portfolio is exposed, have a practical compliance action plan and understand the financial and tax implications. They should then be able to make confident decisions and potentially strengthen their position while others exit the market.

Simon Zutshi, founder of the Property Investors Network (pictured right), will discuss property investing and opportunities for landlords, Susie Crolla, MD of the Guild & Letting Management Ltd, a compliance expert and specialist in landlord law and regulatory training, will speak about training, Landlord Action’s Paul Shamplina (pictured below) will share tips on picking the right agent, and Gavin Richardson, MD at MFB, will talk about finance.
The event promises to be relevant to both new and experienced investors, self-managing landlords and those using agents.

This isn’t a generic overview webinar, says Shamplina, it’s a focused, strategic briefing from professionals who deal with landlord law, compliance and portfolio strategy every day. “There are lots of self-managed and smaller landlords who aren’t getting themselves educated,” he tells LandlordZONE. “The sector is increasingly about professionalism, and I’ll be talking about making a decision whether to remain self-managing or to get an agent.”
Sign up here for the event which includes downloadable resources for the day which runs from 10am-5pm and can be replayed for 30 days.
