A new property management platform aims to help landlords keep on top of the growing compliance burden as rental reforms bite.
RentDocs.co.uk boasts that it has already attracted more than 1,700 early users, managing about 10,000 rental properties, during its five-month testing phase.
The platform combines tenancy agreement generation, document management, compliance tracking, rent reminders and tenant communication in a single cloud-based platform. It lets landlords generate 2026-compliant tenancy agreements and securely store Gas Safety, EPC, EICR and other statutory documents, and track certificate expiry dates with automatic reminders.
Founder C. Loui Yilmaz says it’s been built specifically for private landlords rather than letting agents, with future updates planned to support the new PRS Database and landlord redress scheme.
Complexity
“Our aim was to build software that removes complexity,” he explains. “Instead of using multiple apps, spreadsheets and folders, landlords can manage everything from one secure platform.”
As a large portfolio private landlord, he understands the day-to-day challenges of managing rental properties, Yilmaz tells LandlordZONE.
“We are actively monitoring the development of the PRS Database and fully intend to integrate with it as soon as the government publishes the technical framework and APIs. As the new landlord redress scheme and other regulatory requirements are introduced, the platform will be updated to help landlords manage those obligations through a single, easy-to-use dashboard.”
Monitor
The platform can also monitor portfolio compliance through a live Property Health Score. This gives landlords an instant overview of each property’s compliance status by considering key legal and administrative requirements, including the presence and validity of mandatory compliance documents, upcoming expiry dates and landlord obligations.
RentDocs maintains a comprehensive audit trail showing when documents were generated, issued and delivered. Future development plans include AI-powered landlord assistance and electronic signatures.
Yilmaz adds: “We’re working closely with early adopters to refine the platform based on real landlord feedback before scaling more widely.”
