Landlords who use Total Property’s suite of products including insurance can now offer their tenants a popular ‘moving in service’ following a new partnership with Just Move In.
The Bournemouth-based company’s tools, which are already used by 20,000 tenants every month to move into their new home, helps renters set up services for their new address including council tax, energy, broadband and insurance, and manage them all through its platform.
While the partnership helps tenants with the moving process it also simplifies void period administration for landlords, helping them manage utilities until new tenants move in.
"This relationship marks a significant step forward in our mission to simplify the moving experience for everyone across the UK," says Ross Nichols, Co-founder at Just Move In (main image, right).
"By working together, we’ll alleviate the stress tenants often face during relocation, whilst providing landlords with a more integrated solution for managing their properties during void periods."
Eddie Hooker (main image, left) CEO of Total Property, says, "This partnership aligns perfectly with our commitment to supporting landlords and protecting tenants' deposits, as demonstrated by the over 1 million deposits we protect.”
Tenants often face deductions from their deposit because utility bills have not been fully paid-up when they leave a property and outstanding sums have to be deducted from the final deposit return payments – adding unnecessary stress during the home moving process for both sides.
"By working together, we’ll alleviate the stress tenants often face during relocation, whilst providing landlords with a more integrated solution for managing their properties during void periods,” adds Hooker.
