Auctioneer's latest acquisition gives it national reach

network auction staff

Eddisons has bought competitor Network Auctions to become one of the largest property auction houses in the UK.

London-based Network Auctions was established in 2005 and sells residential and commercial properties across the UK via monthly online auctions. It will integrate with Leeds-based Eddisons’ existing auction business which includes Pugh & Co, SDL Property Auctions and Mark Jenkinson.

The deal will expand Eddisons’ property auction coverage in the south of England and adds five new experienced members of staff to its auctions team, including directors Toby Limbrick, Stuart Elliott and Guy Charrison.

Marketed

During the past year, Eddisons has marketed more than 3,000 properties and plots of land through its auctions, generating over £330 million for clients, according to Andrew Parker, who heads its property auctions division.

Bringing Network Auctions into the business, with its established presence in London and the south, allows the firm to provide even broader national coverage and deliver greater choice and value to both buyers and sellers, says Parker.

Benefit

He tells LandlordZONE: “The benefit to landlords is an expansion of our existing award-winning offering. We are partners of the NRLA, and this acquisition broadens the benefit to members.”

Network Auctions partner Toby Limbrick adds that becoming part of Eddisons marks an exciting new chapter for the firm, giving it a stronger platform for growth and the opportunity to deliver even more for clients.

“We’re looking forward to bringing our expertise and energy to a larger national team and continuing to progress the way property auctions are delivered,” adds Limbrick.
