Landlords in the North West of England are invited to free roadshow this week in Liverpool during which Paul Shamplina, star of the hit Channel 5 TV show Nightmare Tenants, Slum Landlords, will be speaking.
The event is being hosted by lettings agency Northwood at its Liverpool branch on 15th May at 6.30pm and Shamplina is to inform those attending about the looming Renters Rights’ Bill, which is set to sweep in huge changes for the private rented sector including, most controversially, making it harder to evict troublesome tenants or those in rent arrears.
“The Liverpool rental market is very strong, but the forthcoming Renters’ Rights Bill means there is currently a lot for landlords to consider – particularly those who are managing their own properties,” says Northwood Liverpool’s Managing Director Shaun Farrar (pictured).
“For this reason, we have organised a free Landlord Roadshow with a team of industry experts, and we are delighted to welcome our special guest, TV star Paul Shamplina who is also the founder of Landlord Action and incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining.
“Paul and the team will help landlords to understand the implications of the Renters’ Right Bill.
“The contents of this new bill are wide ranging, including the abolishment of fixed term assured tenancies, and assured shorthold tenancies, and many new obligations will be imposed on landlords, so it is vital for everyone to be prepared.”
As well as Shamplina, the roadshow will include a range of other experts on hand to give advice including on tax, mortgages and local housing rules.
The Northwood Liverpool Landlord Roadshow will be held at The Barn (main image), Blackstock Market, 15 Blackstock Street, Liverpool L3 6ER. Registration is at 6pm and the event will start at 6.30pm. Numbers are limited, and places can be reserved by emailing the event direct.
