Due to a marked increase in London homeowners opting to relocate out of the capital, Waterfords estate agents, who operate in Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire, has held the first of their London exhibition days, set up to showcase the best of Home Counties properties to London buyers and tenants interested in moving to attractive locations in the South East.

Showcased at the London Mayfair Office in W1, available stock from throughout the Waterfords network of branches was displayed and, as a result of the event’s success, the next exhibition will take place on Friday 28th September.

Sean Wickes, Director of Waterfords estate agents in Chobham, comments: “We found our first event to be very worthwhile and it was a great success in terms of reaching a group of buyers that we may not have done otherwise.

In the first half of 2012, we have already seen an upsurge of London buyers relocating to the Home Counties, particularly in the areas that Waterfords operate in as our offices are located along the commuter belt and therefore offer good access into London. This evident trend has mainly been down to the fact that a number of buyers are seeking to take advantage of the temporary rise in demand in London due to big events such as the Olympics, which have stabilised, and in some areas pushed up house prices as well as rents. These buyers are looking to invest elsewhere other than the capital and the Home Counties are proving to be a popular choice for many.”

The Mayfair Office works alongside the mainstream Waterfords branches in providing a conduit for London buyers as well as those from throughout their national network to find select properties in the South East.

September’s exhibition has been scheduled to assist buyers following the 2012 Olympics and in the run up to Christmas.
