The Central Housing Group has been short-listed for “Green Letting Agent of the Year”

Central Housing Group based in North London, have recently been short-listed for the ‘Green Letting Agent of the Year’ award, hosted by the UK Landlord Accreditation Partnership. The Challenges and Growth in the Private Rented Housing Sector Conference & Award Ceremony will take place on Friday, 28 March 2014, at the Thistle Hotel Marble Arch, London.

With the second biennial UK Landlord Accreditation Partnership (UKLAP) Conference & Award Ceremony fast approaching, those in the private rented housing sector are gearing up to both recognise and be recognised for their contributions and accomplishments within 2013/14. The nominations received this year were a marked increase from the previous ceremony and a good turnout is expected.

Central Housing Group is a residential Letting and Management agency, established in 2000. They specialise in supplying local authorities with privately rented accommodation across London and are proud to be recognised for their green contributions in recent years. They manage in excess of 375 properties and work tirelessly to improve the energy efficiency of each one.

Central Housing Group are committed to assisting their tenants in saving on energy costs and reducing the number of households that are experiencing fuel poverty. In addition, they are members of ‘The Property Ombudsman Scheme’ (TPOS) for residential lettings and have attained ISO 9001 Certification for Quality Management & ISO 14001 Certification for Environment.

Central Housing Group have arranged for seventy properties under their management to have their lofts and cavity walls insulated. They were also able to secure funding, via the Mayor of London and the Energy Saving Trust, to enable them to replace and upgrade, free of charge to their landlords, 35 boilers and complete gas central heating systems with ‘A’ rated energy efficient condensing boilers plus replacement of radiators, timers, thermostats and radiator valves.

With the effort that they put into keeping their office and properties green, Central Housing Group would like to thank those that have recognised this achievement and nominated them.
