Grainger plc (the “Group”), the UK’s largest listed residential property owner and manager, has appointed Kier to deliver repairs and maintenance work across its UK portfolio. The contract, which is worth around £50m over ten years, is due to start on 1 September 2013. The work will see Kier carry out repairs to tenants’ properties along with gas and electrical compliance works across England and Scotland.

Grainger’s decision to appoint a single provider was taken in order to improve tenant service delivery and maximise efficiencies to obtain cost savings that were not being achieved through Grainger’s previous network of multiple suppliers and service providers.
