The National Student Housing Survey (NSHS) is an annual survey of students in higher education across the UK.

The survey measures satisfaction levels in all types of accommodation and allows participating institutions to measure their performance against national and regional benchmarks.

The 2013 survey attracted over 20,000 responses from more than 190 universities and colleges across the UK.

The four headline award winners for 2013 are:

Best University Halls – Lancaster University
Best Private Halls Provider – CODE Student Accommodation
Best Customer Service – iQ Student Accommodation
Best Value for Money – Victoria Hall

A further six categories of awards were made and eight institutions and private providers achieved the threshold required to qualify for the International Accommodation Quality Mark.

Further details of all the awards and shortlists are available at the National Student Housing Survey website.

This project is managed by Red Brick Research, an independent market research agency specialising in Higher Education.
