bdrc continental, a leading international media research group, has carried out surveys into attitudes of tenants in the private rented sector (PRS) with some surprising results.

bdrc continental’s Q3 2015 tenants survey shows that around 80% of tenants are happy with their current landlord.

A more worrying statistic to emerge from this study shows that around half of all tenants worry that the landlord may end their tenancy.

Nearly three out of four (75%) of tenants rent because they can’t afford to buy their own home.

Nearly 40% of those tenants surveyed it seems are resigned to living in private rented accommodation permanently with no plans to buy in the near future.

bdrc recently launched a systematic and regular survey of UK renters and their research is generating some interesting insights. The surveys view buy-to-let from the customer (renter) perspective.

It is busting a few myths around the landlord-tenant relationship, and renter’s housing aspirations.
