Many landlords are well able to deal with most aspects of landlording – but worry about legal issues. For example:
- What sort of tenancy agreement should you use?
- Is your property an HMO and if so, what does this mean for you?
- What are your rights if you employ a letting agent?
- Are you complying properly with the tenancy deposit legislation (or are you at risk of being found liable for a penalty payment to your tenant), and
- What should you do if you want to evict your tenant?
These are all things with bother landlords – perhaps they bother you too? If so, you may be interested in the Landlord Law Conference in March – a new conference which just concentrates on legal issues.
All the speakers are either qualified solicitors or work in the law, and the talks cover things which you really need to know about as a landlord – if you are to avoid legal problems.
Organised by solicitor Tessa Shepperson of the respected Landlord Law online service, the conference is on 15 March 2013 and will take place at Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, in the ballroom of the beautiful Athenaeum in Angel Hill.
