Jervis v Harris Clause – This clause enables a landlord to inspect tenanted premises, serve a repair notice on the tenant, carry out repairs when the tenant fails to do so, and to recover the cost as a debt.

Joint Agents – When two estate agents collectively instructed by a landlord to sell a property.

Joint Sole Expert – A expert who has been chosen by both parties or by the court. The joint sole expert reports to the course and may be questioned by either party.

Joint Tenants – two or more tenants that hold equal holding of a property. Joint tenancy creates a “Right of Survivorship” which provides the right that if any of the joint tenants dies, the remainder of the property is transferred to the survivors.
