Tessa Shepperson is a specialist landlord and tenant lawyer, speaker and author. After qualifying as a solicitor in 1990 Tessa ran her own specialist landlord & tenant law firm, TJ Shepperson, for over 19 years before closing it to allow her to concentrate on her online Landlord Law service www.landlordlaw.co.uk and DIY kits, believing these to offer a better and more cost effective service to landlords.
Tessa was one of the very first lawyers to use the internet to provide legal services. Her Landlord Law membership site has been online for over 12 years now and has a dedicated following of landlords, letting agents and housing advisors, who use it as a source of guidance and reliable documentation. The site also has a detailed DIY Eviction Guide (+plus members only) along with various ‘pay extra’ services.
Tessa is a prolific writer and posts appear on a daily basis in her Landlord Law Blog www.landlordlawblog.co.uk – which is very highly regarded in the industry.
She is passionate about the internet and believes that it has huge potential for the delivery of legal services and for training. Tessa is currently developing a series of kits and guidance ebooks for landlords to allow them to deal with legal issues themselves rather than use expensive law firms. These, along with her ebooks, can l be found at www.legalkits.co.uk.
She is also a director of Easy Law Training www.easylawtraining.com where she is developing online training services for landlords and letting agents as well as the more traditional ‘face to face’ workshops. A list of the courses for landlords can be found at www.schoolforlandlords.co.uk
Tessa is married and lives with her husband and one son in Norfolk.
