Hi, we have a property on the verge of exchange to be sold to a new owner. The property was to be sold "with tenant", but the new owners have asked us to give notice.
The tenancy period ends on May 4th, and so we need to give notice by then for the two month statutory notice to commence, but won't give notice until after exchange.
So the question is.... will the notice be valid if served by us if we are the landlord at the time, but won't be the owner when the vacating date happens?
