Scottish independence, for or against?

Indeed: Bank of England, Queen of England, English language... Why, even I am English !! (or Engerlish as some, not I, pronounce it - apologies to any offended....)


I've been of the view for over 50 years (hardly original idea of course..) that we are living through the further decline of the English Empire, and that Gibraltar, Scotland, Northern Ireland, etc etc will one by one drop off, in some timescale, that great oxymoron "The United Kingdom". Others may hold alternative views..

English Empire?? Usage certainly during WW2 was to speak of "England" as meaning UK - a habit the merkins still use.. (like asking Nigel Farage if he's happy being German...).

Certainly as lawcruncher says an air-clean will be helpful I suspect/hope..

As to clearing the air, I suspect when it comes to being independent there will be cheers of "Aw Reet".

Then the sums get done, and people will have to "doneer oot tae vote" and I would guess it will be closer than we might think.
