Should the Scotts go independent? Would we miss them? Any Scotts here? Living close to the Scottish Border I would be suprised if they went independent and most people from Scotland I speak to are dead against it. Would love to hear any opinions.

Just as possible as it is for any other constituent country to leave. In a sense all countries are equal. They just have the oddity that they are subject to the same government. It seems to many Scots, Welsh and Irish though that they are ruled by the English because the UK capital is in England and because the English are in the majority. They do sort of have a point.
A referendum is needed in Scotland to clear the air. The time is long overdue to let the Scots decide their future.
