    Default regulated rent review

    If a regulated which has not had a review in 10 years is requested would it rise signifcantly, considering an application could of been made every two years?

    You'll find out after the review (and after possibly any appeal, if allowed..).
    I am legally unqualified: If you need to rely on advice check it with a suitable authority - eg a solicitor specialising in landlord/tenant law...

    Your be lucky to get 4 or 5 % increase maybe a bit more on a Fair Rent/Regulated Tenancy

    Fair Rents are a form of rent control applicable for most private sector rented accommodation without a residential landlord and which was let before 15 January 1989.

    The Rent Act 1977 provides the rules for setting Fair Rents and the Rent Acts (Maximum Fair Rent) Order 1999 limits the amount of rent that can be charged by linking increases to the Retail Prices Index.

    Landlord or Tenant can appeal the decision of a Rent officer to the Rent Assessment Committee
