Please help me date Section 21

I need to create a section 21 notice for my tenants. No problems with them I just want the place back, so two months is fine.

They have an AST for which the 12 month period ended 4th Feb 08.

I am assuming I have missed it for this month and will have to set the Section 21 so that vacant possession is required 'after' 4th May, is this correct?

You don't have to specify the date, merely to state you require the premises back at the end of a rental period two months from the date of service - that way you won't make the mistake of getting the date wrong. But, yes to answer the question, you can't make the Notice effective any sooner than "after 3 May"

So, to be completely sure - for a 12 month agreement dated 5th February 2007, where the end of the term is 4th February 2008, the date I need to put on is 'after 3rd May 2008' ??
