Workshop's ironwork is asbestos-covered

Hello, can anyone give me some advice on Aspestos buildings. Our workshop is of iron framework covered with asbestos panells, are the landlords responsible for ensuriong that the aspestos is safe?
Any advice will be greatfully received.
