Hi
We have placed our property with a Letting Agent.
They guarantee our rental income for the duration of any 6 month AST.
But, after signing with them, they explain that this is done as follows :-
1 months rent taken in advance
1 months deposit taken in advance
4 months rent guarantee insurance
= 6 months protection
Surely, if the tenant decides to trash the property, the deposit is used to repair such damage first and foremost.
How then do you think they can offer the 6 month guarantee ?
Do you think they should be more clear with their wording when offering this scheme as I dont feel confident that we have the protection we thought we had.
Any thoughts ?
