I have a tenant since August 02. I manage the property myself and am being billed by the agent for letting fees of £317 per annum. Is this reasonable? I understand the initial fee but an ongoing fee of this size seems a little unreasonable. Any opinions?

What does it say in your contract with the agent?

If you have signed to agree to these fees, then what service are they providing.

£317 for nothing is harsh.

Know I sound dumb but I cannot find/don't remember signing a contract. Have had this property with these agents since 2001. They don't provide any service at all. They did not even do the original inventory, just seems to be money for old rope!!

Ask them for a copy of the contract, if they can't provide one, then I would stop paying them. Maybe even claim back previous charges.
Give them a bell or call in and see them and find out?
Can't see that you have anything to lose.

Brilliant advice, thank you so much for that.
