Does anyone know the details of this new scheme?
What is the lowest value that can be invested?
Is it true that pension companys would require propertys to be managed?
Any info gratefully recieved.

I know this is not going to be the answer you are seeking. Why would anyone want to tangle up their property business in an old-fashioned restrictive cost-a-plenty cream off the top pension fund? The main point of investing in property is to do whatever we want with our property, whenever we want (not having to wait till 50yo and silly rules like that). Who came up with the scheme you are referring to? Anyone trying to force their opinion as to how I manage my properties can Foxtrot Oscar!
I can almost envisage (won't go the whole way) a scenario where having built up a good property portfolio with no interference from actuaries and the like, one could realise their equity and maybe invest in an annuity.
Sounds like the corporate opposition are trying to muscle-in on the little guy/gal.
