Letting Agent Complaint

Can anyone give me any information at all that will help me get my complaint to the right place. I was silly enough to not put my house up for rent with a Property Management company that is registered with one of the letting associations. They did not act in my best interest and I had to involve Solicitors to get my property back as the management company did not take responsibility. This is only scraping the surface of the complaint. Do they have to be registered with an association and if not how and who to can I submit a complaint?

Unfortunately if your LA are not members of ARLA or a professional body there is no-one really you can make a complaint to. However if you are financially out of pocket due to their negligence then im sure via your solicitor there is something that could be done in the form of compensation.
