appologies for posting this again - perhaps it got overlooked buried under another thread.
Does trading CFDs have the same CGT rules as share dealing?
As far a I know, on CFDs there is no stamp duty to pay, so there is a potential here that one could sell and buy or buy and sell a number of times even on the same day. For full time traders that could class as trading profits, but for people with full time employment the only option is CGT it seems.
Does one have to show each two way deal individually? even though it may not have been held for more than a few hours or a few days.
If anyone has personal experience of this, or know of any examples or reference, it would be useful.
