Maximum notice period question

Hi all.

Apologies if this has been asked before - I had a look and couldn't find the answer.

My tenancy agreement states that I need to give 2 months notice when leaving the property. I thought the legal maximum was 1 months notice.

As I have already signed the agreement, is there anything I can do about this, or am I stuck?

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

your LL is trying it on. You only need to give one months notice, they only way the LL could force 2 months is by putting it as a special case and getting you to sign it seperatly ( I think) in any case, you only need to give one months, you will probably have a hard time telling the LL that though !!
