Tenancy Agreement and DPS

I have noticed that tenancy agreements available free on the net do not yet mention anything about the new deposit scheme laws. Is it advisable for me to make the necessary alterations within the agreement?
I also wish to question why there are posts on this site related to trying to avoid the scheme when the DPS is free? Or am I missing something?

It's only the custodial schemes that are free- if you want to keep the money you have to join an insurance-based scheme, for which there is a charge.

Also, some LLs might feel that the scheme will side with the T rather than the LL. (We don't know how it will work out in practice yet).
