Definitive list of authorised TDS custodial schemes?

I see the DCLG have a list of the authorised providers for the new TDS - http://www.communities.gov.uk/index.asp?id=1504445

However, given the current confusion over deposit schemes (especially as it is a mere 3 weeks away and things seem nowwhere ready) does anybody think that a group that sets up a convincing website ("www.you-deposits-protected.co.uk" ?) with a boiler-room style operation, making a few forum posts/targetted spam emails to garner interest and watching the deposits roll in is a possiblity (and, subsequently, doing a runner) ?

Does anybody else think this could happen (or could already be happening?).

Thanks for the idea Wickerman! I've been trying to come up with an idea for making my next million.... I've got a boiler-room doing nowt and a great pair of trainers that are fantastic for running in.... :D

Seriously though, I thought there were only three schemes given government approval - so surely it would be sheer folly to deposit your deposits in any unapproved scheme!

It is also folly to click on a link to your banks online banking (or ebay) from an email....
