hi everyone.:) I have a little question. ok. I have a friend who has property and some section8 tenants. Not wanting them to move he kinda....signed their renewal leases for them. I mean they had no idea. Now one of the tenants asked for the copy of his lease from the city and saw "his" signature on it.He threatened to sue because he wanted to move. How can that tenant even prove that he did not sign that? Are there any legal consequences( is it forgery)? And if sued how to win the case or get out of it as safely as possible? they live in different states
Please post anything this is very very very important. thanks a lot

they live in different statesAnd you live in a different country, right?

You're posting to a forum in the UK where the laws are different, so you'll not get any useful advice here.

But forgery is probably a no-no everywhere.
