Hi!

Well...I'm obviously new here, so bear with me while I'm learning the ropes around here.

In about two weeks I'll be moving into a new flat and have ended up in a bit of a fix. According to the companies I've spoken to, they will only supply you with a contents insurance as long as the flat isn't rented as fully furnished and as you can guess, my new flat is fully furnished.
So, does anyone know if there is, somewhere, a company with which I can take out a contents insurance despite this fact? or if there are any other options.
I'm not happy with the thought of leaving my possessions and furniture uninsured - so any help or ideas would be appreciated

Let me just clarify:

You are moving to flat which you are renting, fully furnished by the landlord?

If so then this is not a problem. You can get a tenants contents insurance which covers all of your possessions and furniture ( if you decide to add to the existing furniture) in the property.

In the event of a substantial claim the insurer may request to see the inventory of the landlords possessions so you dont claim for their value also.

speak to UKinsuranceNET on 0845 3651264 or submit an enquiry for tenants contents cover online at www.landlords-building-insurance.co.uk
