Hi

Apologies if this has been asked before and I am clogging up the forums, I did a search but could not find the answer.

Is a landlord or letting agency legally obliged to tell a potential tenant of any planned building works that may affect them (as would happen in a property sale)? If they are and do not, what action can the tenant take if they only find out after moving in?

I need to find out pretty quickly, so any help (or pointers to any links providing this information) would be enormously appreciated!!!!

Actually, none of them. I'm trying to help someone else out with some research. I think morally, a landlord should have to disclose the information, but I don't know what the legal standpoint is...

Probably no initial duty to disclose if AST but would be if long lease.
However, L liable if replies incorrectly to a question asked by T- and if in breach of covenant/condition for quiet enjoyment.
