Long staying tenants, what are their rights

I have tenants who have been in my property since 2005, is there a certain time frame after which they gain extra rights, I hear rumors of the 8 year rule.

Can anyone advise

No, they can stay for as long as you are wiling to have them as tenants, they gain no extra rights.
