I am letting out my property and most of my curtains have been made by myself and consequently do not contain the 'kite mark' for health and safety regulations. Is there a way round this, can i loan them to the tenant separately???? Answers would be much appreciated. Kind Regards

I thought the kite mark requirements only related to furniture. Perhaps wait for a few more replies to confirm this, but I am 99% sure curtains don't come under the regulations - atleast I hope they don't as one set in our letting property are "home made" too!

The Guide to the Furniture and Furnishings(Fire) (Safety) Regulations on the dept of Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) website states that curtains are exempt.
