In the process if letting my flat and wanted some advice about how people vet their potential tenants?
Previously, I asked for a character reference from the tenants employer. All was well however i'd like to tighten up this time.
As a general rule, what should I be looking for?
Also, is there any way I can do a credit check through an agency like equifax, is this worthwhile / expensive? Also, if the applicant is retired, I obviously can't get an employers ref.
Any guidance appreciated.
