Hi

I am currently thinking of investing in property and have come to a dilemma. Firstly I was going to do it all myself, hire what I need when i need to maximise profit.

Then I came across some property investment advice (http://www.investment-property-north.co.uk/property-investment-advice.html) from a company called Investment Property North who actually buy, do up and rent or sell your property.

Yes you don’t maximise profit, but you don’t do any work either, you purely invest.

Check it out (link above) and let me know what you think

Please excuse my cynicism, but does this post sound to you like it's come directly from the company concerned, rather than an unconnected third party? ;)

Then why not just invest in a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT)?

Hi

I wrote the original post and I work for a company called CarSpareFinder.

I am actually am interested in investing in property to clear my student debt once and for all

I posted the comment since ive never herd of someone doing all the leg work and giving you some of the profit. Surely the guy should just do it once use that profit to buy the next one. Seems to good to be true.

So i was just wondering what people thought to see if it sounds like a worthy investment. Im still unsure.

anyway just thought id put things straight. Also if i was working for the company then i would have made it sound like the best thing since sliced bread and put lots of links.

Thanks for clearing that up, and apologies for the cynicism!

I would wonder about investing your money in that way. Property letting, while it can be a reasonable thing to do, is not the golden calf of the cash cow that a lot of people think it is. If I had a small sum to invest I would rather ADD to the amount I'm investing by adding my own effort, rather than SUBTRACTING from the amount actually invested because I'm paying someone else to do what I'd be capable of doing myself. But that's just a personal opinion, I'm sure there are others who would disagree.
