I have rented property that I am in the missle of selling. I was contacted by the builders (George Wimpy) to advise that the ground floor flat has a leek. My property is on the second floor. They advised that they need access to have a look at the waste pipe that is located in the bathroom behind a wall. The plumbers are saying that they would be required to take part of the wall out to gain access to this pipe. They have also said that there is no gaurantee that the blockage is situated within my wall. I thought that there would be some syomproms of smells for example of the toilet not flushing. There is no evidence that my flat has anysort of blockage. Can anyone advise where I stand. Do I need to let them in? Any help is most appreciated

Don't you mean "I'm trying to sell a flat that I own that was previously occupied by a tenant but is now empty?"

As you are selling you might like to put the question to your solicitor.
