Hello all
I have recently bought a flat for myself and there is no mention of paying the freeholders managing agent a management fee in the leasehold agreement but they want to charge me £60.00 a year.
Does this sound correct?

you are under no obligation to pay anything that does not appear in the lease agreement. read it carefully. its probably got some ambiguos clauses in it.
you can ask them where it states in the lease agreement that this is the charge.

Yes; depends on lease covenants. These might permit L to appoint agents (possibly implied power to appoint?) and/or to recharge to T all L's management costs.

What is the name of the company demanding 60 pds per year ? The danger is that if you admit to this demand it will increase every year.
