When I had dealings with them they were extremely helpful, and as this appears to be a straightforward transaction they'll be able to help you in minutes. Thanks. Just spoke to them. Need form AP1, TR1 and a form from inland revenue for SDLT exemption.

Spot on. I did this earlier this year after finding out a solicitor wanted £300:eek: A quick search on The Fool revealed a very helpful post.

Result? Had to complete 3 forms and send a cheque for £50

For later readers' benefit: an applicant in person now (from November 2008) also needs to prove identity/address by using form ID1.
