Additional Tenant

Hello,

I have a question someone has posed me.

A 21 year old single female is renting a property, and the landlord has moved into the property an additional tenant who is a 40 year old male.

There are no locks on bedrooms or bathrooms and she is worried because she doesn't feel safe.

Is there anything she can do ???

Did she rent the entire property initially in her own right ? or was she aware that another person (stranger) would be sharing the property at some stage?

She has previously had other tenants who have always been female, until recently when the first she knew of this new male tenant was him letting himself in with a key to see which room he would be moving into.

I think she was hoping for another way to deal with it so it looks like moving out is the only option to make her feel safe again.
