Hi there all,

I am looking to rent out my 1 bed flat from October- I am going back to be a full-time graduate student in another city. A friend of mine mentioned the possibility of renting it out as a coporate letting.
Just wondered if anyone has had experience doing it like this i.e. letting the flat out to a business/company and they have an employee(s) living there.

Also, does anyone know of or have any experience of suitable corporate letting agents in the Birmingham/West Midlands area?
Thanks very much,

Chick

If you let to a company rather than an individual then it will be a tenancy at common law, not an AST.

You need to take advice from a specialist agent. I know a good agent in Henley-in-Arden if that's near enough? They deal with property in the Solihull area.

Thanks Paul for that information...
I am in the Lichfield area which is quite a way from Solihull, so the agent you know might not be useful tho you never know...have been speaking to mainly residential letting agents & I just wanted to find out more re coporate letting agents.

Also, it depends whether the mortgage company agree to it as I think you need a AST. Currently investigating specialist agents in the Sutton Coldfield area.
