I think that people may need further information, is this a long leasehold property ?
I am unaware of the insurance details for my property including details of my employment status.

If you are using online forms it is quite rare to see "Unemployed" as a tenant option. This is mainly because it can mean different things. It could mean they are between jobs, retired, receiving benefits, unemployed due to disability, etc.
This has certainly never been a problem for us or our insurers but we would simply need confirmation as to what type of "Unemployed" tenant you have.
Ring a few brokers would be my plan of action rather than trying to find online quotes. Take a look at the LandlordZone Insurance Directory (http://www.landlordzone.co.uk/dir/insurance-directory.htm) for some companies to try.
