Noisy neighbours

I am planning to rent out my flat later this year.

I have upstairs neighbours who are pretty disrespectful in terms of noise. They have wooden floors and run and stomp around the flat a lot which creates a lot of noise and vibration in my flat. Whilst they do not play loud music/tv on a regular basis, this type of noise can still be distressing especially late at night.

I have tried talking to them but to no avail. Also the council will not help when wooden floors are mentioned.

I am just wondering what repercussions there may be for when I rent the place out - if the tenant were to complain of the noise.

Any experience of this??
