I'm presently overseas for a long time, I wondered if the Agent looking after my houses is paying me correctly, I filled in and heard back from the tax office a 'rental income tax exemption form' before I came out here...

Here are some examples, thanks for reading, do they seem correct?

£150 letting fee, VAT £26.25, bill to me - £176.25
Managment fee 10% of the rent (600) - £60, VAT £10.50, bill to me £70.50

kind regards
Alex

if you are worrying about the VAt that is being added, then yes this is generally the case.

So, are you saying I'm being charged correctly Zoe?

So, are you saying I'm being charged correctly Zoe?

VAT is 17.5% and is presumably payable; whilst I haven't used my calculator, those figures look about right.

Was it an income tax exemption form? Are you under the non-resident landlord scheme? Where is the property?
