Nightmare LL

Am new to this forum. Have recently moved out of a flat. The LL was overseas, and I had the BT number allocated to me, it was apparently his old phone number.

When I moved, BT offered to let me take the number with me as it was only a few miles from my old place. The bugger now wants his phone number back and has been giving it out to people, who keep calling for him. In the alternative, he wants me to pay for him to get a new one at his old place.

Nothing in my tenancy agreement said anything about this?

The telephone contract is between BT (or whoever) of the one part and a customer of the other part. If BT recognises you as the customer, it becomes your number. If L has a problem, let him try to argue with BT (assuming that he lives long enough to penetrate its call-handling system!)
