I want to sell a property, but I am not so sure of the market conditions. It is annoying to waste £250 on a HIPS, just to try out the market.

If the property does does not get any offers in 2 months, then I want to rent the property out. I am wondering if there is a HIPS company that can re-new the HIPS.

I think search would be valid for 6 months?

Any ideas?

Yes, the original HIP is valid for 6 months. The EPC which will have been produced as part of it can be used if the property is rented out, for 10 years.

Don't know whether there are companies which will 'update'/reissue your HIP cheaply, but it's worth negotiating with them when you first commission one!
