As a new landlord, my first tenant in my 4 room HMO is leaving.
I just want to check soem basics should I have missed anything!
Original AST was for 4 months (at tenant request) athough I know I would have had to provide 6 months.
Anyway, she wants to leave in a month and will probably accept this despite her only being 3 months in to her 4 month contract.
So I guess I just need to :
1. Email confirming receipt of her notice to vacate
2. Meet up on the vacate day at the property and both sign the 'check out' form and I get the keys from the tenant
3. Get online and confirm to the Deposit Protection Service can pay her the deposit back
Am I missing anything or any good practice?
Is there any other document I need to get from tenant to legally evidence departure?
Thanks.
