My L has decided to sell his property. He has advised me that people will soon be coming round to view the property. I have never got on with my L as I have received nothing but hassle from him in the past. Can I legally object to any of the viewings for prospective buyers?

Yes. There's a host of threads about unauthorised entry by L or L's agent.

Short answer is yes, but it would be best to negotiate a reasonable compromise whereby you allow viewings, say, once or twice a week for a couple of hours.
