A landlords guide to the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) (http://www.odpm.gov.uk/pub/333/HousingHealthandSafetyRatingSystemGuidanceforLandl ordsandPropertyRelatedProfessl_id1500333.pdf) from the former ODPM. This maybe very useful for landlords, as it gives a basic guide to how local authorities are now going to assess your properties and what action, if any, can be used.

Hope this is helpful and gives an insight of what the HHSRS is all about :)

You're a bit late telling everyone as it's been available for more than a year now.

Fully aware that HHSRS has been in existance for over a year Paul, however the link is for a 'Guidance for Landlords and Property Related Professionals' which was only published last week.

I have looked on Landlordzone and didn't see another link to this new document, so I posted it. Since the Operating guidance and the enforcement guidance were published in February 2006 and consists of over 220 pages of text, it maybe difficult for some people to understand without training, how HHSRS works and is to be implemented. Whereas the document in my original post condenses the information and gives an overall view of HHSRS and the enforcement that can be taken.
