Agent recommendations london?

I am about to let out my 2 bed flat in North London and intend to use an agent for management. Can anyone recommend any decent agents who benefit both landlord and tenant?
Also - how long in advance would you suggest advertising the property?

My son is renting a property in West London from a company called Ship Shape Management who are always pleasant towards him (I had never heard of them). He also thinks that they are doing marketing and management for the landlord at 10%, which is very good. I manage my own propeties.
