Hello everyone,
I moved out of a house on 27th October. I agreed a few minor deductions from the deposit with the letting agent on 30th October and we agreed a final figure to be returned.
It has taken the letting agent until 3rd December to agree with the landlord the amount. The Letting Agent told me that my deposit would be released last week, though I am still waiting for the money to appear in my account.
If I get my deposit back I will probably be satisfied, but this seems an awfully long time to wait for my money to be returned since it is now mid December. Are the letting agent within their rights to take this long? Would it be worth reporting this?
